Company Overview

Applied Cutting Edge (A.C.E.) Technologies International Ltd. is a boutique business process consulting firm and a provider of digital platforms and tools which facilitate the digital transformation of organizations. Since its inception in 1994, it has assisted entities in both the private and public sectors in Jamaica and other Caribbean countries in improving and optimizing their business processes by weaving cutting edge technologies into workflows to enhance outcomes, automate processes and increase efficiency, resulting in greater business impact. The company was the first to introduce Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) to executives in Jamaica through the organization in 1994 of an executive management seminar entitled ‘Business Re-engineering and Information Technology: Managing in Turbulent Times’. This was followed in 1995 by “Process Mapping – A Vital Technique for Organizational Analysis and Improvement”. These seminars were presented by Professor Ojelanki Ngwenyama, formerly of the Business School, University of Michigan.

More specifically, in the financial services sector, where services have been provided to a number of organizations over the past twelve years, the recent focus has been on the digitization and the digitalization of the account opening business processes, which is essential in their transformation to digital organizations. The company has also provided business process management consulting services to the governments of Jamaica, Barbados and St. Kitts and Nevis in the optimization of the operations of several of their agencies in trade & investment promotion; housing; development banking; urban development; tertiary education; national statistics, social security and trade facilitation; that also included the development and provision of their long term IT and more recently their digital strategy plans. Many of these projects were funded by the international donor agencies such as the EU Commission, the World Bank and the Commonwealth Secretariat.
